AI desk brief

IMC Exploration says its 100%-owned subsidiary ASSAT has signed a contract to advance the Karaberd underground project, covering lab reconstruction, a new exploration programme and surface preparation for underground works. The contract value is about AMD 75mn (€178.5k), with up to 5,000 tonnes of rock/ore to be relocated and final fees on the surface works capped at 20% of profit from processed ore.

Operationally, the company says the lab upgrade should lift assay throughput to 30 samples/day within three months, while the underground prep and exploration work is targeted for completion in around two months. CEO Armand Pinarbasi framed the deal as a milestone that should speed assay turnaround and clear the way for underground development at Karaberd.

On metals output, IMC says ASSAT continues concentrating ore at the Megradzor plant (~4,000 tonnes/month) and processing gold to 0.997 purity at the Masis plant. With three additional electrodes and the lab reconstruction, it expects roughly 50kg of gold production over the next 12 months; it also plans a silver plant solution after the Italy industrial show, targeting around 50kg of silver over the same period. The tonnage is modest and company-specific, so the broader market impact looks limited, but the update is directionally supportive for future mine supply.
